Founded in 1985 as The Milford Mirror by Bev Walker, The South Marysburgh Mirror, as it was soon renamed, is the third-oldest publication in Prince Edward County after the Picton Gazette (1830) and County Magazine (1976). The website has been built to allow seasonal residents and visitors to read the paper electronically and keep up to date about community events and activities. The current edition of The Mirror is located at the link below, and previous editions dating from October 2011 are filed in the Archives section.A secondary objective of the website is to extol the virtues of South Marysburgh – its talented and creative people; the numerous local businesses; its restaurants and inns. If you have never been down to this part of the County, hopefully you will find something here to entice you to visit. Although the Village of Milford is considered the focal point of South Marysburgh, we like to refer to the rest of Prince Edward County as falling within the ‘GMA’ (The Greater Milford Area). The top menu allows you to access submissions from residents and visitors; further information about the South Marysburgh community; previous editions of The Mirror; and how to advertise. Have a look around, and thanks for visiting. Come back often!

Publication of The South Marysburgh Mirror has been suspended. All issues dating from October 2011 can be accessed at the Archives section of the website. The last issue, published in January 2020, is located in the 2019 archive.

If, or when, publication resumes the website will be updated.
